2011 - 2012 Brookings School District Fine Arts Events

Upcoming Events:

  • What: BCYMP HOLIDAY PARTY!!!!
  • When:  Saturday, Dec 3rd
  • Where: Start at Larson Ice Arena & End at Extension Office Building/Swiftel
  • Time:  1:30 - 5:00 pm
    • 1:30 - 3:30 pm: Open Ice Skating at Larson Arena
    • 3:30 - 5:00 pm: Extension Building (East Wing of Swiftel Center)
      • Pizza
      • Cookies to decorate
      • Photos with your mentee and/or SANTA
      • Drawings for Prizes to the Children’s Museum – food and admission!
      • Board Games


If you have skates or your mentee has skates, please bring!  Skating rental/admission will be paid for by the BCYMP--just give them your name and mentee's name at check-in.

Be ready to have your picture/and mentee taken by a BCYMP board member to put in a picture frame you create!!

Open Skate Schedule
Larson Ice Center
M, T, W, Th, F: 2:30-3:30pm
M, T, Th: 8:00-9:30pm
Wednesdays: 7:15-9:15pm
Saturdays: 12:30-3:30pm
Sundays: 1:30-3:45pm

Open Gym Schedule
Mondays, 6:30–8pm, Elementary & Middle School Ages; 8–9:30pm, Adults
Tuesdays, 6:30–8pm, Elementary & Middle School Ages; 8–9:30pm, Adults
Wednesdays, 6:30–9:30pm, All Ages
Thursdays, 6:30–8pm, Elementary & Middle School Ages; 8:00–9:30pm, Adults
Saturdays, 9:30 am–12 noon, 1-5pm, All Ages beginning Oct. 22
Sundays, 1–5pm, All Ages beginning Oct. 23

High School Indoor Pool
Public Hours Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00-4:00pm

Call 692-2708 M - F 8:00 - 5:00 to verify Open Gym and Larson Ice Arena Open Skate availability. Holiday Schedules do change.

**This free admission policy applies to all BHS events held at BHS, as well as the SDSU Coughlin Stadium, PAC, Swiftel, or other locations.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Brookings Public School Sports Events, Fine Arts Events are free admission to BCYMP Mentors and Mentees when attending together! Please wear BCYMP button. May not apply to events held at the PAC and Coughlin Arena. Free Admission does not apply to SDSU activities.
